Manfrotto MIDI BALL HEAD WITH 200 PL
The ball head which has a load capacity of max. 8 kg is obtainable with a quick release system (498RC2), a quick release system 410PL (498RC4) or with a camera supporting plate (498). The 498RC2 is equipped with a Manfrotto quick release plate 200 PL.
The ball head is ideal for analog and digital small- and midsized cameras. The ballhead also has a separate arresting lever for the 360° panorama rotation as well as an arresting lever for the +90°/-90° tilting movement.
The robust diecasting construction, the precision made black housing and the extreme hard ball made of phenolic resin, enable very soft movements in all directions. The camera supporting plate has a diameter of 52 mm and a 1/4" thread. The tripod connection has a 3/8" (f) thread.

Positioning:
Two separate arresting levers adjust the ball head to the 360° rotation and +90°-90° tilting movement.
Friction Positioning:
The new ball heads (with the exception of 492 ) are equipped with a friction positioning for the ball movement which enables an individual adjustment of the ball resistance to the camera weight. This again increases the safety and control of the equipment and furthermore enables you to a precise adjustment of the equipment.
Quick Changing System with additional Safety Lock:
Models 484RC2, 486RC2 as well as 488RC2 and 488RC4 are equipped with a quick changing system. Manfrotto`s quick changing systems have additional safety locks which have to be released in addition to the opening lever of the quick changing system in order to release the camera from the head. This additional safety system avoids an unwanted release of the camera from the head.
Ergonomical Product Design:
In order to meet the newest ergonomical requirements, all arresting levers and buttons have been redesigned. The new ergonomical shape provides a better handling and makes an adjustment of the ball easier.
Arresting Lever:
The arresting lever of the ball head can be positioned freely thus allowing an individual comfortable position. Simply pull the arresting lever to the outside, choose the most comfortable position and now let the lever engage into the new position.
Italien Design:
The new ball heads have completely been redesigned taken into consideration the new Manfrotto Design Line. The elliptical shape conforms with the new design of the tripods. Tripods and heads now reflect a professionality combined with italien design.
