Product information "ELC Pro HD 500 Monolight"
With the brand new ELC Pro HD 500 & 1000 compact flash units, Elinchrom is introducing what are probably the two best equipped units on the market. They have many useful features and are the result of over 25 years of experience at the forefront of the development of high-quality studio flash technology.
Particular highlights include the lightning-fast charging times (0.6 seconds for the ELC 500, or 1.2 seconds for the ELC 1000 at full power) and the super-short flash durations (up to 1/5000 seconds) to freeze even the fastest movements. All of this with proverbial Swiss precision with every release and constant power output and color temperature.
The ELC compact flash units are the first of their kind to have an OLED display. In addition to the usual power scale,
the power in joules, the flash duration and many other settings can now be read directly. A jog wheel enables easy navigation through the new operating menu.
New shooting modes
Three new shooting modes open up completely new creative perspectives when working with the ELC compact flash units.
Sequence mode:
allows continuous triggering of up to 20 ELCs in quick succession or in continuous operation to take advantage of the camera's high frame rate.
Delayed mode:
offers synchronization to the first or second shutter curtain and everything in between, and predictive synchronization is also available during short sequences.
Strobo mode:
enables images with stroboscopic effects to be achieved within a single shot.
